We're reflecting on what was such a special weekend on the South Downs Way, just over a week on from the #wildmasonsdw with Wild Cycles.

"For me and for MASON, our community is everything. From the very start, when we launched with just 2 models [our Resolution and Definition] , I was struck by the faith that people put in our new brand, I was super grateful to those early adopters and first customers and I have been so proud to watch as our community grows. We now have over 860 members of our MASON owners group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/masonowners

Since 2014, we have put everything into building our brand and developing bicycles for those riders who want to ride Fast & Far. It’s been a hard push and I have continued to be so grateful to those in our strong community who have continued to support us along the way.

Amazingly, we are now approaching 10 years of MASON! So, starting in 2023 we are focusing on giving something back to the riders and community who have got us to where we are.

Our first event was to be the 'Wild South Downs Way', in conjunction with our friends at at Wild Cycles. The MASON barn backs onto the South Downs National Park and the wonderful SDW is our commuter route home, so it made perfect sense for the half way checkpoint and overnight camp to be in the fields behind our home.

WSDW was almost a year in planning and it turned into a beautiful and memorable event for all. Almost 70 riders took on the 160km route, many on MASON's, tackling 3,600m of elevation, in what turned out to be almost perfect conditions with the dusty chalk trails running fast.

MASON rider Naomi Freireich kicked the event off in fine style by setting a FKT for the route on her Mason Bokeh, completing the course in a blistering 10hrs 50mins. This put us all on a high and it was personally very special for me to welcome all these riders to the farm and share our love for riding, the outdoors, music, food and drink.

I rarely take time to step back and contemplate what we have achieved, it's far too easy to bury yourself in the next task, to keep pushing. But during the evening I did remind myself to pause and contemplate the happy gathering of riders as the band was playing and the sun was setting. When I first envisaged what would become MASON, I remember thinking "...one day, wouldn't it be incredible if people were buying our bicycles, adventuring all over the world and coming to visit us with their stories..." and I'm very happy and proud to say that incredible thing has happened and for me, it's the most important and inspiring thing that we have achieved.

So, thank you. You made us what we are and there will be more events, big and small, during the buildup to our 10th year. We very much look forward to welcoming you onboard for the continued MASON adventure..."
