Almost the entire tubeset was developed in conjunction with Italian tube gurus Dedacciai, using their new 'ZERO', fine grain, micro-alloyed, progressive butted steel tubing. We work very closely with them to develop our Alu, Ti and steel tubesets for Bokeh, BokehTi, Definition and now the new ISO model [Resolution is developed with Columbus]. For the ISO every tube has a custom profile, section or bend to work exactly how we want it for ride quality, clearance and durability.
1.5 - 1/8" taper for large lower bearing to give durability and stiff responsive steerer for new HotShoe fork.
Dedacciai, ovalised horizontally for lateral stiffness and 'bowed' to our spec for extra space within the frame and ride quality enhancement.
These are a work of art and helped to inspire the development of the new frame! Flared outwards from the top for huge tyre clearance and then beautifully tapered down to Ø12mm at the dropouts and flared and flattened horizontally where they meet the seat tube. This makes the frame very responsive and laterally stable, whilst giving spring and compliance at the rear. The signature Mason 'BoatTail' kickdown at the base of the stays, really increases ultra-distance comfort and reduces surface vibration, it also gives huge clearance for brake caliper and large rotor and provides a superb vantage point for the discrete fender or rack mounts. There are also heavy duty rack-mounts at the base near the dropout.
Widely spaced on the 73mm stainless BB and curved, crimped and ovalised for max chainring and tyre clearance [to work with max 36t ring and 2.8 x 27.5 tyre]. They are deeply ovalised for optimum power transfer and taper to Ø16mm at the rear where they meet the asymmetric CNC dropouts.
73mm, BSA threaded, stainless steel shell. The best.
Once again, exclusive to Mason and made for us by Dedacciai in Italy. Ø38mm where it meets the HT for large weld area, then curved for suspension fork clearance and with our exclusive 'DForm' section where it meets the BB. This gives a flat wide weld for maximum stability at the pedalling platform and avoids excessive tube overlap onto the seat tube which can lead to fatigue.
This one is from the UK! A super high quality Reynolds 853 butted tube, oversize Ø34.9mm for 'Core Stability' and Ø31.6 internally to be compatible with all popular dropper posts and our own Penta carbon seatposts. Exclusive Mason Macro Ø34.1mm seatclamp tops it off. Seat tube also has internal routing for stealth dropper.
