IMPORTANT BREXIT INFORMATION FOR OUR EU CUSTOMERS: We are very happy to announce that our EU customers will not be paying any more for a Mason bicycle than they did before Brexit: As we have our frames made in Italy, we use various Italian/EU made parts are used on our bicycles and because we assemble all bikes and carry out final prep in the UK, they fall within 'Rules on Origin' regulations and we're able to export with these preferential rates (0%). You will be charged a small surcharge for administrative purposes by the courier, this is normally around €20-€30 for the shipment,
Please note that the following applies only to our framesets and complete bicycles. Spare parts and accessories that we supply, for example seatposts and axles, do not originate in the EU and as such will be charged 4% duty approximately. EU Bundles: You will not be charged duty on the frameset, but will liable for ~4% duty on the wheelset portion of this bundle when you import it.
How does customs/import work when buying from the European Union?: The ordering process is straightforward but with a couple of small differences.
Our website prices include UK VAT. Your order will not include 20% VAT, and this will be deducted at the checkout stage.
For example, a £3175 bike will cost : £2645.83 + shipping + handling charges. Approx. 20% VAT* when you receive your order

*When your order is received by customs in your country you will be contacted by them around the time of your delivery to pay the VAT upon delivery, which will depend on your local VAT rate. You will not pay any import duties or tariffs. So, the total price you pay for your Mason will be very similar to the prices we state on our website, albeit with a difference of exchange rate.

Collection in person from our UK premises: You are very welcome to visit us and collect your bicycle in person, but it is important to note that purchasing your product in the UK and 'hand carrying' to your home country does not circumvent UK VAT, or customs charges where applicable.

EU 'Rolling Chassis' Bundles: You will not be charged duty on the frameset, but will liable for ~4% duty on the wheelset portion of this bundle when you import it.

Overseas PayPal Payments: You may be charged a currency conversion fee by PayPal for processing any payments which require a currency conversion. We cannot avoid this but we do accept bank transfer payments.

Dispatch: Please note that we do not dispatch every day of the week, so it could be a few days from your payment being taken and your frameset, bicycle or accessories arriving. Don't worry, if you receive your payment confirmation from us then all is in order and your product will be sent.

Built to order bikes: Bikes will be built to an extremely high standard, in-house by our experienced cycle technicians. If your chosen frame size and colour is in stock, we will aim to deliver your bicycle a maximum of 4 weeks after your order is placed and payment is cleared.  We'll set-up the front brake to be operated by the Right Hand lever for all UK destinations. For destinations outside of the UK, we'll set-up your bicycle with Front Brake/Left Hand as standard. It's no problem for us to set-up the brakes in your own chosen configuration, please state in 'Order Notes' how you like them.

Out of stock Products: Sometimes frame sets or components will be out of stock, in which case it is possible to pre-order framesets or bikes. Otherwise, please contact us for an estimated waiting time on other products, such as jerseys and bottles.

Pre-orders: If you would like to secure an out of stock frameset or bike, a 20% deposit will be taken based on the frameset or bike cost only. This deposit is fully refundable if you change your mind prior to dispatch, but any additional items will require payment in full when you place an order.

We will notify you once we have received frameset stock and any remaining balance is then to be settled. If you have pre-ordered a bike we require the balance of payment prior to build and dispatch.

Titanium Framesets and Bikes: DEPOSIT PAYMENT: Once we have received the above details, we will contact you to arrange 50% deposit payment via PayByLink through our Braintree account. Deposit is NOT refundable if you change your mind prior to dispatch, as this is a special order item and will be built to order, specifically for you. The 50% deposit will be taken based on the frameset or bike cost only, we’ll add any accessories and shipping costs to the balance payment.

RAW, Exposure & SLR Frames: Unless marked as 'in stock' when ordering, these frames are made to order in small batches. The deposit for a made to order frame is NOT refundable if you cancel before dispatch.

BALANCE PAYMENT: We'll contact you for balance payment when your frame set arrives. If you have pre-ordered a bike we require the balance of payment prior to build and dispatch.

Interest Free Finance: We have teamed up with V12 Finance to offer 0% finance as a payment option for our bikes. You can spread the payments for your new bike over a 6, 10, or 12 month period. If you would like to see how the installments would be repaid, try our online calculator HERE.

Upon arrival of the Bicycle/Frame in your respective countries or states, you may be subject to local taxes and import duties. TNT/FedEx will serve as the shipping partner for international shipments, and they will contact you directly regarding any necessary customs procedures once the package arrives in your country or state.

We can help advise on these fees but it is not possible for us to pass on detailed knowledge for Import Duties/Tax/Handling Fees etc for specific countries and states, as these vary widely and change often. Please be aware that your government may enforce import duties which we are unable to circumvent. We would always advise customers to contact the relevant authorities and shipping providers directly for the most accurate and up to date information.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Requirements: When goods enter the United States from overseas, it is considered an importation and must be cleared by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). US Government regulations now stipulate that when the goods are over the value of $2,500 the customers 'Social Security Number' (SSN) or 'Tax Identification Number' (EIN) must be inputted to the commercial invoice that is supplied with the required shipping documents.

This is now standard procedure and we cannot circumvent this requirement as it is a US Customs regulation. The correct information MUST be on the commercial invoice or the shipment will not be allowed to enter the USA.

Once you have supplied your SSN or EIN To Mason Cycles, we will transfer the code internally to the Commercial Invoice and then delete it from our records. We will not email your SSN or EIN to the parcel company or anyone else. Your SS number is NOT seen by the driver and is destroyed after use by the parcel company. The only people that see the information are US Customs. Please note that it will not be on the package that is passed to you by the delivery driver.

If you would like more information, please contact Mason Cycles HERE or call 01273 463000. Full information is provided on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection site HERE
