Mason x Further x Campagnolo | The Further Bokeh
During these unique times of distancing and awareness, this opportunity to work together (for the first time) with Campagnolo scribes a moment in each other's history, coming together to build the 2020 Further Race bicycle, a Bokeh Chorus, signifying a unity that transcends borders, distances and national politics.
Most of this bicycle is Made in the EU, much in Italy. It is fantastic to salute our relationship and history with the various frame makers and painters we work with in Italy, by delivering this Bokeh with Italian made parts. It will not be the last.
The Bokeh model itself has already made history with Further Race: it was ridden to 2nd and 6th place in 2019 by Angus and Philippa respectively.
It is fitting that Aluminium forms the Further Race bicycle frame. Camille educates us of the rich history linking Ariege and Aluminium in 'The Winged Metal'. Knowing and understanding the life cycle of the material, making its way through history and through processes over many years, to the Bokeh. Could there be some Ariege Aluminium in this very Bokeh? Recycled over the years and reconstituted into the tubes that shape it?
