We always wonder how our frameset customers interpret their ideal MASON. We've seen our bikes taken Fast and Far, across continents and in all corners of the world, and now we're seeing them being built for real speed.

This time we've been lucky enough to have heard back from the proud owner and we're inspired by his vision for this particular Definition.

Richard MacNeil has thoughtfully pieced together what is the lightest Definition build that we've seen to date.

MASON signature geometry, disc brakes, custom shaped Dedacciai tubing, all at 8kgs. A strong contender for the fastest UK-conditions road bike.

 

I had similar worries to a lot of people with buying a new frame based on one or two reviews, but having seen it in the flesh at the Birmingham Cycle Show I was pretty much sold. Also in common with pretty much everyone else, I needn't have worried. As comfortable as it is just cruising along, you end up attacking climbs and sprinting for signs just because it's so much fun. I'm not altogether sure what I expected, but what I got was one of the most enjoyable bikes I've ever ridden.
