The ISO2: in search of even more adventures

The go-anywhere-fast ISO has been updated and improved, bringing it right up to date and keeping it ready for anything.

Six years ago, a new bike was born: something very different to anything else Dom Mason had designed before. Out of conversations between Dom and ultra racer Josh Ibbett came a realisation that there was need for a drop-bar adventurer that could maintain speed over the roughest terrains of epic journeys and ultra races.

The result was the InSearchOf, often known as the ISO – a bike that borrows freely from the worlds of gravel, touring and mountain bikes to create something truly formidable.

Looking back, we really feel the ISO was ahead of its time. We've watched it take on some of the world's toughest challenges, in the hands of equally tough riders. The ISO's track record includes the Atlas Mountain Race, the Accursed Race, the Tour Divide and a 'fastest known time' on the European Divide.

But the journey never ends. Six years of feedback from racers and riders filtered back to Dom, who decided it was time to combine the best of the original ISO with a suite of new improvements and updates.

So here's the ISO2.

The ISO2 maintains everything you love about the original: the Italian-built blend of Dedacciai and Reynolds steel, the choice of wheel sizes with very generous tyre clearance, its suspension fork compatibility and serious gear-carrying credentials.

But here's what's new for the ISO2:

• New MASON-designed machined dropouts, compatible with Universal Derailleur Hanger
• Additional eyelets on top tube, for more secure accessory mounting
• T47 bottom bracket with outboard bearings, increasing stability
• Improved routing, bringing brake hose and electronics through the bottom bracket shell
• Updated HotShoe2 carbon fork, with revised cable routing and strengthened eyelet positioning
• Two colours new to the ISO: FilterYellow and GrigioTecno

Combining these new details with the InSearchOf's tried-and-tested features, the new ISO2 is something very special.
