Any New Bike Day is an important day. But for MASON riders, whose bikes keep adventuring for many years, it's a particularly special occasion.

In 2016, MASON ambassador Josh Ibbett took delivery of a Bokeh in striking FlareOrange.

In eight years, Josh has clocked up around 20,000 miles on this original Bokeh. Together, they have covered the length of Spain and Portugal, ridden to Mexico and won the Italy Divide. And when not travelling the world, Josh and his Bokeh have contested the cyclo-cross racing season every winter. This bike has been pushed hard.

So now, it's time for a new one. The Bokeh3 brings two generations of refinements to Josh's orginal frame: there's more tyre clearance, accommodating up to 45mm with 700c wheels (and up to 55mm with 650b) and more options for mounting luggage and fluid – important for the ultra-endurance events Josh tackles.

In fact, many of the tweaks and updates we make to our bikes come directly from Josh's feedback. Josh's competitive experiences helped us make the Bokeh even more versatile and adaptable. The ideas and notes Josh sent back to Dom from the toughest routes even spawned the birth of an entire MASON model: our 'ultimate adventure' ISO. And Josh's recent race-testing of the new flat-barred Macro has been a vital part of its development.

We've rebuilt Josh's existing components and HUNT wheels onto his new Bokeh3 frame. He has a carefully tuned configuration that he's sticking with. And something else that hasn't changed is that colour: FlareOrange – still turning heads on the trails. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

So happy New Bike Day, Josh.

We know you'll continue to have amazing adventures together. Be fast. Go far.
