ANGUS' FKT ATTEMPT TRACKING HERE

Today, Friday 4th June, our friend and supported rider Angus Young will begin his attempt to ascend the 3 highest peaks of Wales, England and Scotland on foot, whilst joining them up by cycling between each one. A summit of the tallest peaks in the UK by human power.

With the FKT of 37hrs 33mins fixed in his sights, Angus has left nothing to chance in his preparation for this big effort. He aims to knock a few hours off the current record.

The adventure begins in Snowdonia where the first running section lies - a dawn running ascent of Yr Wyddfa aka Snowdon (1085m). In just a few hour's time he'll be up and down the mountain, into cycling kit and onto his finely tuned Definition to begin the first riding section of this effort. The next destination is Great Langdale in the Lake District approx. 200miles North. Here lies the next big run - Scafell Pike (978m). This is the one peak where Angus will not run back to the location that he began from; here he will run down a different route, finishing in Keswick.

As the evening sun sets on this long day, Angus will jump back on his Definition and begin the 250mile ride through the night to Fort William, Scotland.

At approximately 10:30am the third and final section of this endeavour begins - running up and down Ben Nevis (1345m), the highest mountain of this adventure and the culimnation of 33-ish hours against the clock.

Angus is riding his Mason Definition 56cm built up with Ultegra Di2. He's set-up for speed over long distance, which means a comfortable TT position and 28mm tyres.

His forward progression will be under his own power only.

You can track his record attempt on the tracking page on his website.
