Race Around Rwanda

The very first Race Around Rwanda is live! What a fantastic way to kick off the 2020 bikepacking racing scene. It's a 1000km self supported bikepacking race in Rwanda’, a moutainous and lushious landscape known as 'the land of a thousand hills'.

There are two Mason riders in this strong field of ultra racers: Josh Ibbett and Jason Black. The Bokeh is their model of choice for their racing debut in Eastern Africa's debut bikepacking race.

You can track the full race via the Race Around Rwanda website.

The Bokeh is our Dedacciai aluminium 'AdventureSport' gravel bike. Josh has chosen WTB's Exposure 36mm tyre fitted to a set of HUNT 30 Carbon Dynamo Disc wheels. The groupset is Shimano's GRX Di2 2x with 48/31t chainrings.

You can see Josh' full bike check video here.

The bars are a new lightweight 12dgee flare carbon bar from MtZoom a small British company with Deda short clip-on bars to give a few hand options and the saddle is WTB's hightail.

Luggage is supplied by Missgrape and Josh has opted for a frame bag, top tube bag and a feedbag for ride food.

Meanwhile, Jason is riding a Force1X equipped 62cm Bokeh with his signature Rotor 155mm crankset and a similar HUNT wheelset option. Two very difference build kits on our award-winning adventure model.

Go go Josh, Good luck Jason!
