Our first spin on the Mason Definition II towards the end of last year left such a strong impression that, as soon as we got back to the office, it was very quickly pencilled in for the RCUK 100. It’s rare for a fledgling company to produce such a sublime ride after only three years, but then the Sussex-based brand is not your standard upstart and we've quickly become used to quality from Mason Cycles.

The first MASON to feature in this shortlist was back in 2016 - our award-winning Resolution. Last year our ground-breaking Bokeh stood out against the rest, and now our ultra-race-winning, all-season Dedacciai tubed Definition2 has earned its place.

The Definition II is available as a frame only or can come fully-built with an array of high-end components, allowing you to put together your dream build, like the SRAM Red eTap-equipped machine we've got here.

However the Mason Definition II is set up, one thing’s for sure - you’re left with a great all rounder that can be relied upon whatever the adventure.
