Togetherness. Community. Good food and drink. Fireside chat. Nature. Camping. Conservation. A sharing of knowledge and ideas. A celebration of riding and riders.

- Dom Mason

In 2024, MASON is celebrating a Decade of Details.

Ten years of designing bicycles built for adventures. Ten years of doing things differently. Ten years of listening to riders and working with them to create the ideal machines for their challenges.

As part of our ten-year celebrations, we invited MASON fans to join us for two days of riding and togetherness: a voyage to somewhere that reflects our belief in quality, in progress and in doing things right.

This was The Wilding Ride. A joyful, excited pilgrimage from the MASON Barn in the South Downs National Park, over the rolling hills to the Sussex Weald, and to the world-famous Knepp estate, where a decades-long rewilding project is letting nature take back the landscape in magical ways.

The Wilding Riders were a varied crew: long-time MASON fans and happy newcomers. Long-distance mile-munchers riding alongside off-road challenge-seekers.

Together, we made our way through a rainy South Downs landscape in search of the autumn sun. The warmth blessed us as we pressed north to Knepp.

At Knepp, we pitched camp in a landscape ruled by deer, pigs, cattle and storks. Six-wheeled safari vehicles taxied us to a dinner of wild-range beef and home-grown vegetables. We broke bread, we shared stories. We celebrated the experience that brought us together.

Around a crackling fire, Dom shared stories with Josh Ibbett, MASON's first supported rider, and a veteran of multiple ultra distance challenges.

We ate well. We slept even better. We rose to a fresh day and fresh ideas, as an ecologist shared the story of Knepp, where radical thinkers have taken a stand against the destructive norms of a whole industry to create a special place where life and hope are allowed to thrive.

We struck camp and rolled out of Knepp. We wound our way south on fast gravel trails. We returned to the MASON BARN full of insiration, fellowship and memories.

Thank you to the Wilding Riders, for coming together with us in celebration.
Thank you Knepp, for hosting an experience of learning and wilderness.
Thank you Marmalade MTB, our guides to the Sussex trails.
Thank you Dom, for ten years of bikes that inspire adventure.

It was wonderful riding through the South Downs with such a really lovely bunch of people and seeing so many beautiful Mason cycles!

What an amazing weekend Dom. Got to be one of the best weekends on the bike ever? Such a lovely group of people all enjoying the simple pleasure of riding a bike. But not just any bike. For me personally a bike that allows adventures to be enjoyed in such an engaging way. Simply perfect.
